Using keychain to Find Passwords on Mac:

You need to follow all these steps to find the password using Keychain Access App.

Step 1: Application Folder

The first thing you need to do is find the application folder in your Mac. If you don’t know where it is, use the Finder Window.

Step 2: Utility Folder

Once you open the application folder, you need to go to the utility folder.

Step 3: Keychain Access

Now, you need to click on Keychain Access to use it. If you want to avoid the first two steps, you can use a shortcut. For a shortcut, you can use Spotlight Search. You have to press “Command” + “space” + Type “Keychain Access”.

Step 4: Passwords

Now, you have to click on “Passwords.” It is given below category.

Step 5: Search

Now, use the search column and type the name of the app or website whose password you want to find. You will see multiple results if you have recently made some changes to it. You need to go with the recent option.

Step 6: Double Click

If you get what you are looking for, you need to double click on it.

Step 7: Show Password

To make the password visible, you have to click inside the “Show Password” box. You have to enter your system password to access it.

Step 8: Enter Password

You have to enter your Mac password to make it visible.

Step 9: See Password

Now, you will able to see the actual password.

Finding Wi-Fi Password on Mac:

You can use Keychain Access to find the Wi-Fi password as well. People mostly don’t remember their Wi-Fi password. But if you still want to know about it, follow these steps.

  • Step 1: Go to Application > Utilities > Keychain Access App
  • Step 2: Enter your Wi-Fi name in the search column
  • Step 3: Click twice on your Wi-Fi network name that appears on the screen
  • Step 4: Enter Mac username and password
  • Step 5: Check on “Show Password”
  • Step 6: Enter username and password again
  • Step 7: Get your Wi-Fi password
